Mac and PC Set Up Mistakes
One of the most common mistakes we see people make happens when they first purchase a new computer.
Often, people will take a PC or Mac home, turn it on and off to the internet they go. The truth is, it’s vital to a new machine to be hardened and updated immediately.
New machines require attention, too:
- Hooking it up to your home network,
- Installing active and up to date anti-virus software,
- Transferring data from a previous computer, or
- Making sure you have the right software.
If you’re not careful, you risk exposing your new machine to infections and software conflicts right out of the box. It doesn’t matter if it is a Mac or a PC, if you’re unsure that your new machine is hardened and set up to your personal needs, ask us! We’re very familiar with all common brands of computers.
We’d love it if you’d post any questions, and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
